itemprop=\"text\" ><h3>MAC Case Study 01: Large Castings Foundry, South Korea<\/h3>\n<p>MAC GmbH | Consulting and Engineering was approached by a South Korean mechanical engineering company because it could not obtain the required number of raw castings with the required metallurgical structure for cylinder liners of marine engines on the market. The idea was to build its own foundry and start production for its own needs. The design capacity of the foundry was set at 11,000-cylinder liners per year with an average weight of the raw casting of 9 tonnes. The cast part is used in chain saws, weed trimmers and other garden tools. The aim was to implement the production lines in an existing plant, to increase the level of automation of the plant and thus to make the plant fit for the future.
